Paws, Claws, and Prayers

Join Us for Our 2nd Annual Blessing of the Pets!

Our furry, feathered, and finned companions bring so much unconditional love, joy, and comfort into our lives. They truly are a blessing—and it’s time to return the favor!

Following the wonderful turnout last year, we are thrilled to invite you, your family, and your animal companions to the 2nd Annual Blessing of the Pets Service at St. Paul’s United Church.

Whether your pet has scales, a wagging tail, or a loud purr, all are welcome to receive a special blessing as we celebrate the wonderful bond we share with our animals.

Event Details

  • Date: Sunday, September 6th
  • Time: 10:00 AM
  • Location: St. Paul’s United Church (1 Hastings St. S., Bancroft)

How to Participate

We want this to be a safe, joyful, and comfortable experience for every person and animal attending. To help things run smoothly, you are welcome to bring your companion in whichever way suits them best:

  • In Person: Please ensure all pets are either on a leash or in a secure cage/carrier so everyone stays safe and happy.
  • A Favorite Stuffy: If your child has a favorite stuffed animal they cherish, bring it along! We would love to bless their beloved stuffy, too.
  • A Photo: If your pet prefers the comfort of home, doesn’t travel well, or has sadly passed away, please bring a photo of your beloved pet so we can honor and remember them in our prayers.

Spread the Word!

This event is open to everyone in the Bancroft community—you do not need to be a regular member of our congregation to attend. Invite your neighbors, friends, and fellow pet lovers!

We can’t wait to see you and your wonderful pets on September 6th at 10 AM. Let’s celebrate the joy our animals bring to our lives together!
