The winter months can often feel particularly heavy when we are carrying the weight of loss. Whether your loss is recent or one you have been walking with for some time, you do not have to navigate the journey of grief alone.
Starting January 29th, 2026, North Hasting’s Hospice is inviting community members to join an 8-week Winter Grief Group. This is a safe, supportive space designed to help us explore grief from both personal and cultural perspectives, acknowledging the deep impact it has on our daily lives.
What to Expect
Grief is complex, and sharing that experience with others can offer unique healing. Over the course of eight weeks, we will focus on:
- Understanding Grief: Exploring personal responses and coping strategies.
- Shared Wisdom: Learning from one another about what helps us face daily challenges.
- Honouring Memories: Celebrating the lives of our loved ones in a community of care.
Meeting Details
- When: Thursdays, starting January 29th
- Time: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Where: Community Futures (26 Chemaushgon Rd)
